Don’t you hate when your bus gets into an accident and rollovers and you’re like, DAMN I can’t get out because this window ejection system just doesn’t work? The Safety Hammer aims to ease your woes. It’s pasted directly on the glass and with just 20kg of pressure, shatters so even kiddies and oldies will have no problems.
Who wouldn’t love a pillow made up of velcro corn kernels, show of hands please. The Sweetcorn Pillow makes all your corny fantasies come true. Pluck them, chuck them, play with them, but please don’t butter and eat them. Is this novel? Mmm hmm. A bit ridiculous? You betcha! Do I want this? Damn skippy!
Road Cones can be a pain sometimes, for the driver a safety hazard and for the guy who has to place them on the road, a back breaking job. Not many must have thought of redesigning this thang, but innovation is really called for. Interim let’s look at the Air Cone Concept; it’s this flattened balloon strip that you lay on the road. Inflating it causes Air Cones to pop up, but care has been taken to ensure a sturdy design. Only hope that crazy kids with pins in hand don’t got popping it just for fun.
Quadratic much? At the intersection between two curves comes this stool right here. Not to be kicked around all too much! It’s called the “f(x) stool” it’s the interconnection. It’s the birch, the plywood, and the adjustability in mathematics. As the curves get further away from one another, the seat gets wider, but you might feel a bit more nervous, as the support reduces.

How many stools does it take to fill a house? I dare anyone to collect every single stool ever published on Yanko and put that in your quadratic and smoke it. You’d have quite the room! No need for a chair! It’s the middle, between floor and seat. And bar stool.
I didn’t ratchet my way into writing this article, I just hammered it out. But that’s not what Itay Laniado is all about. Itay Laniado designed this magnificent set of material, metal, and wood. It’s a ladder that’s got nothing holding it together but a single ratchet. And what’s best about that? Collapsibility. Lots and lots of collapsibility that means you can jam this ladder in just about any crack or nook.
No screws, no glue, disassembled and assembled in a compact way. The ratchet doesn’t stop there though, NO! In fact is it also the handle that holds the ladder. Such a carry-able stepper.
From the deepest streets of the sidewalks of intelligence and smart thinking comes this! A bike for the ages. Literally made for the ages between 10 years and 15 years – for kids who are of bike riding age. It is of common knowledge that it’s a strange time for kids of any of those ages, especially when bike riding comes around to petal. Let’s take a look at this particular solution and keep our butts in the right place.
In those years between the big ten and the teening years, I must say there are enough weird things to worry about for a child. Having a bike that does not fit their bottom well, that’s just too much!
Every bottom is different, and every body is different, even when they’ve got a bike that’s supposed to fit their height. That’s the problem these folks aim to figure. This bike, also called the “Big Eye Cruiser,” is designed to accompany these younglings over the years, fitting them perfectly at every stage of growth.
The frame stretches horizontally, while the angle of the frame determines the height. The handlebar is adapted to this thustly, while fine-tuning is done by moving the saddle backward and forward.

This is induction cooking at its finest. Designed to be functional and as a wonderful table top to serve from, the CookIn Table encourages family time by engaging everyone to join in ala hot pot style. The cooktop only heats up when a metallic surface touches it. Beneath the glass top are retractable shelves for additional service stations and beneath that is storage for utensils. Beautiful and accompanied by an extremely detailed exploded view. We like that.
A finalist for the Most Beautiful Object in South Africa, the Ostrich Barstool defies conventional seating design for something whimsical and surprisingly comfortable. Inspired by a recent ride on an Ostrich, sounds fun! – the result is an upholstered seat with elegantly shaped steel legs based on an ostriches’ proportions. I want 3 of these NOW. I think they’re gorgeous and fun to look at.
Thinking caps on because this takes some imagination to digest. The HMK 561 is a carbon fiber bike with special electrical properties that hold power right inside the frame. Carbon fiber is highly conductive so the designer uses it as a power distribution network instead of wires. The power drives the lights and the motors in between the rims but get this… there’s regenerative braking. All that energy drives a system that turns the wheels using a counter-turning axel in lieu of gears and chains. Far fetched? No, because there’s already a prototype.
